19th Century Italian Hand-Carved Marble Column - 2 Available
An Italian hand-carved marble column dating to the 19th century.
Standing just over five feet tall, the column is carved from richly figured marble in deep reddish-brown tones, with warm rust and umber markings crossed by fine ivory veining. The variation within the stone is especially visible along the long central shaft, with no two areas quite alike.
The column rises from a substantial octagonal base into a tall cylindrical shaft, followed by a series of turned and carved transitions. A broad, bowl-shaped capital finishes the top and provides a generous surface for displaying a vessel, sculpture, or other object.
At more than 60 inches tall, it can also stand on its own as an architectural element in an entryway, living space, or alongside a doorway. Each column varies slightly in the color and veining of the marble.

Our White Glove service includes delivery inside the home (including one flight of stairs). Once the shippers are in your region, they will contact you beforehand to provide the delivery day and time window. Standard lead time is 3-5 weeks.
Ensure a clear path and be available to sign for the delivery. The team cannot move existing furniture. Rural deliveries may experience longer wait times due to limited routing. Alert us if there are additional stairs, COI requirements or other unique circumstances.

In-stock inventory ships via UPS, USPS, or FedEx within 5-10 business days (excluding holidays). Rates are calculated based on the full order value, size and region.
