French Modernist Corduroy Slipper Lounge Chair, 1970s - 2 Available

$4,000.00

Sourced in Paris, a French Modernist slipper lounge chair from the 1970s.

Low to the ground, the silhouette is shaped by a single continuous line. The gently reclined back flows into a generous seat, creating a sense of ease that feels inviting. Upholstered in soft ivory corduroy, the fabric introduces subtle texture, catching light across its fine ribs and adding warmth to the chair’s profile.

Set on chrome ball casters, the chair carries an unexpected lightness despite its substantial form. The polished spheres elevate the piece just enough to create the impression that it glides across the room, while reflecting the Modernist fascination with industrial materials and clean geometry.

Its proportions encourage a slower way of sitting—ideal for reading, conversation, or quiet moments in a living room, bedroom, or library. Equally compelling as a standalone accent or paired to create a conversational arrangement, it brings softness without excess.

Sold and priced individually.
