Italian Black Ash Wood ‘Scorpion’ Coat Rack with Mirror by Anonima Design for Bonetto, France 1970s

$1,800.00

A striking 1970s Italian wall mounted ‘Scorpion’ model coat rack by Anonima Design (Sergio Pareti, Ezio Luzi, Federico Prandi, Viviana Riccato, Mario Virano) for Bonetto featuring a large-scale rectangular ash veneered plywood frame. The frame was painted a rich black hue that emphasizes the beautiful wood grain. This rack features an inset mirror which is covered by ten carved hinged hooks. The mirror is revealed when the sculptural hooks extend outwards to hold coats and clothing. We envision this unique piece styled in an entryway, powder room or a chic walk-in closet. Unmarked. Sourced in France, 1970s.
