Italian Opaline Glass Flush Mount by Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce, 1960s - 2 Available
An Italian flush mount designed by Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce in the 1960s, its form reduced to a simple circular volume, suspended close to the ceiling with an almost architectural precision.
Curved opaline glass diffuses the light evenly, softening its presence into a soft ambient glow. Around it, a green painted perforated metal frame introduces both color and texture, the perforations allowing small points of shadow and light to shift subtly across the surface.
Brass hardware punctuates the perimeter with small moments of warmth, balancing the cool opacity of the glass and the muted industrial character of the metal. The fixture changes the atmosphere of a room through its proportion and restraint.
Installed in a hallway, kitchen, or intimate interior, it sits close to the architecture rather than competing with it—more integrated element than decorative object.
