A monumental model 'FA66' rosewood credenza designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen for Faarup Møbelfabrik in the 1960s. This Danish Modern credenza is constructed of gorgeous Brazilian rosewood in a rich, cherry hue with graining that harmonizes across the front. Four pull-out drawers and two pairs of double doors open to reveal significant storage space. A minimalistic base with four tapered legs effortlessly supports the frame, emitting a slight floating effect. Denmark, 1960s.

Furniture maker and architect Ib Kofod-Larsen was one of the most influential Danish designers of the Mid 20th Century. Kofod-Larsen was originally trained as a cabinetmaker and later studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Known for his extraordinary seating, table, and casegood designs, Kofod-Larsen often worked with natural grains and woods including teak and rosewood. His attention to detail, use of quality materials, and focus on funtionality allowed him to develop inviting, yet alluring pieces.
