Set of 4 Italian 'Model 780' Stacking Coffee Tables by Gianfranco Frattini for Cassina, 1966
An Italian ‘Model 780’ nesting table set designed by Gianfranco Frattini for Cassina from 1966.
The set is composed of four individual tables, each crafted from solid wood in a crisp white finish. Reversible laminated tops offer both black and white surfaces, allowing the composition to shift in contrast depending on how the pieces are arranged.
Designed to nest together into a compact cylindrical form, the tables can be separated and placed throughout a room as individual side tables or grouped into a larger composition. Their curved profiles create a continuous rhythm when stacked, revealing Frattini’s thoughtful approach to modular furniture and adaptable living.
An original Cassina label remains present on the interior. Sculptural when nested and highly functional when dispersed, the 'Model 780' brings a playful sense of movement and versatility to a living room, lounge, or open interior.
