Dutch Brutalist Stone + Metal Inlay Coffee Table in the Manner of Paul Kingma, 1970s

$4,600.00

A Brutalist stone and metal inlay coffee table from the Netherlands, crafted in the 1970s in the manner of Paul Kingma. The rectangular top is formed from tessellated slabs of natural stone, arranged in a fractured geometric composition and set within a rounded frame. Two decorative coins are embedded into the surface, while fine metal inlays trace angular divisions across the stone.

Raised on sculptural panel legs joined by tubular metal stretchers, the table balances mass and line. Kingma’s influence is clear in the architectural weight and mosaic-like surface, where geological texture meets modernist abstraction.

DIMENSIONS: 47.5"W x 32"D x 19.25"H

ORIGIN: Netherlands

PERIOD: 1970s

MATERIALS: Stone,Metal

CONDITION: Very good vintage condition. The stone top shows light surface wear, with minor scratches, small edge scuffs, and subtle tonal variation consistent with the material and age. Metal inlays display light patina and oxidation. The coins are well-set with expected scratches and discoloration from time. Legs and stretchers remain sturdy, with scuffs and marks throughout. Overall structurally sound.
