French Eight-Arm Chandelier with Murano Glass Shades, 1940s

$5,200.00

A 1940s French chandelier with eight sweeping arms in blackened metal, each supporting a handblown Murano glass shade. The frosted glass, softly tapered with fine gold inclusions, glows with a warm, diffused tone when illuminated, its surface catching the light with a subtle shimmer.

Brass collars anchor each shade, while at the center a spherical Murano form sits above petal-like glass accents. Additional glass elements rise toward the canopy, giving the fixture a sculpted silhouette.

Elegant over a dining table, entryway, or living space—an early French piece rooted in the traditions of Venetian glassmaking.
