Italian Etched Murano Glass Tray in the Manner of Ercole Barovier, 1950s
An Italian Murano glass tray in the manner of Ercole Barovier from the 1940s. The rectangular form is composed of etched mirror glass, its central panel engraved with a romantic Victorian scene, figures in period dress set within scrolling foliage and ornamental flourishes.
The perimeter is framed by a vibrant red and clear twisted glass border, the rope-like motif adding dimension and movement to the surface. Brass handles at either end provide a warm contrast to the cool mirrored plane.

The Barovier dynasty traces its roots to 1295, when Jacobello Barovier, a master glassblower, began transforming molten sand and minerals into incandescent works of art. For centuries, the family maintained its legacy, crafting exquisite glass pieces until the mid-20th century, when it merged with another renowned glassworks to become Barovier & Toso. This evolution reflects a commitment to artistry and tradition that endures to this day.

Our White Glove service includes delivery inside the home (including one flight of stairs). Once the shippers are in your region, they will contact you beforehand to provide the delivery day and time window. Standard lead time is 3-5 weeks.
Ensure a clear path and be available to sign for the delivery. The team cannot move existing furniture. Rural deliveries may experience longer wait times due to limited routing. Alert us if there are additional stairs, COI requirements or other unique circumstances.

In-stock inventory ships via UPS, USPS, or FedEx within 5-10 business days (excluding holidays). Rates are calculated based on the full order value, size and region.
