Petite Italian Gold Murano Glass Table Lamp, 1940s
A petite Italian Murano glass table lamp from the 1940s, standing just 8.5 inches tall. The delicate form features a ribbed, bell-shaped shade resting over a spiraled glass column, both dusted with fine gold inclusions that shimmer softly in the light.
White scalloped glass trims the edge of the shade and encircles the stem. Set on a flared glass base, the piece glows warmly when lit—its small scale ideal for a bedside, bookshelf, or accent table.
Murano, the storied island in the Venetian lagoon, has been at the heart of glassmaking for over 700 years. Its artisans shaped molten glass through breath and flame, passing techniques from master to apprentice—each piece a quiet echo of that enduring craft.
