The French Ceramics Edit

Some collections are united by material. Others by place.

The story begins in Vallauris, a small town on the French Riviera where generations of artisans shaped clay into one of France's most celebrated ceramic traditions. Its workshops had become a gathering place for artists including Pablo Picasso, Robert Picault, Jules Agard, and Roger Capron, each contributing to the town's lasting influence on French ceramic design.

This collection brings together vintage French ceramics sourced across southern France, from hand-thrown vessels and sculptural forms to decorative bowls, pitchers, and Roger Capron's ceramic tile tables. Earthy glazes, subtle washes of color, expressive silhouettes, and hand-finished details reflect the enduring craftsmanship that made the region one of the defining centers of ceramics.
