The work is defined by a layered approach: hand-selected lace overlays a canvas treated with varied applications of paint, creating a subtle tension between transparency and opacity. White predominates, but traces of muted gold, silver, and earth tones emerge, suggesting depth and quiet movement across the surface. The irregular edges of the lace contrast with the planar canvas, allowing light to interact differently across the composition and shifting its presence depending on the viewer’s perspective.
