Italian 'Triedri' Murano Glass Chandelier by Venini, 1970s

$8,400.00

An Italian Triedri Murano chandelier by Venini, a sculptural composition of light and glass that transforms illumination into architecture.

Composed of 202 individually suspended amber Murano glass elements, the chandelier is built in cascading tiers that taper upward into a dramatic silhouette. Each Triedri prism captures and refracts light with subtle variation, creating a warm amber glow that shifts throughout the day.

The repetition of the hand-formed glass introduces rhythm and depth, while the overall form feels both monumental and remarkably light. The cascading geometry draws the eye upward, the amber glass introduces warmth that softens even the most architectural interiors.

What distinguishes this example is not only its scale, but its provenance. It is accompanied by a copy of the original Venini factory documentation dated April 26, 1973, identifying the model as Triangolo in the original Bianco e Giallo (white and yellow) colorway.

Originating directly from Venini's Murano headquarters, the paperwork also records the original selling price of 650,000 Italian Lira. Original factory records of this nature are seldom preserved, providing exceptional provenance that reinforces the chandelier's authenticity, historical importance, and collectibility.

A rare surviving example from one of Murano's most celebrated makers—chosen not simply to illuminate a room, but to define its atmosphere.
