A French dining chair from the 1940s, sourced from a private villa in the south of France.
The chair carries a warm, natural tone, with grain visible across the frame and legs. The construction is direct, softened by subtle shifts in line—the gentle taper of the legs, the slight curve at the back.
The defining feature is the low, openwork backrest. Cut through in a simple, geometric form, it curves slightly at the sides, supporting the body. The seat, upholstered in original cognac leather, complements the oak in both tone and texture.
This chair sits easily at a dining table, but also works on its own along a wall or in a corner.
