Attributed to the esteemed Milanese metal atelier Santambrogio e De Berti—known for their collaborations with Gio Ponti—this 1950s wall mirror captures the firm’s mastery of proportion and material. A slim iron frame bends in a continuous loop, its softened corners and structural brackets holding the floating mirror plate. The design is spare yet deliberate, revealing the atelier’s considered, architectural approach to metalwork.
Founded in Milan in the early 1900s, Santambrogio e De Berti rose to prominence between the 1930s and 1970s, becoming a trusted fabricator for Italy’s leading modernist architects.
