Italian Smoked Acrylic Magazine Holder Side Table, 1970s - 3 Available
An Italian magazine holder side table from the 1970s formed from smoked acrylic.
The structure bends fluidly into itself, creating both surface and storage without interruption. The material carries a soft translucency—tinted, but not opaque—allowing light to pass through and edges to subtly dissolve into their surroundings. It’s a piece that shifts with its environment, never entirely fixed in appearance.
The silhouette is compact. A flat top provides just enough surface for a book or glass, while the curved interior cradles magazines in an integrated fold, while metal brackets punctuate the sides.
There’s a lightness to it, both visually and physically. It doesn’t impose on a room, but rather integrates—working beside a chair, near a sofa, or tucked into a corner.
