Large Hungarian Ceramic Pitcher with Geometric Motifs No. 02, 1960s

$2,000.00

A large Hungarian ceramic pitcher from the 1960s. The vessel is defined by an architectural silhouette, its tapering body rising from small integrated feet to a softly flared spout. A broad, arching handle curves from shoulder to rim, balancing the form with a sense of lift and movement.

The surface is animated with incised geometric motifs, carved in rhythmic triangular patterns that traverse the body. A light, speckled glaze in mossy greens and muted ochres settles into the etched lines, creating tonal contrast against the darker ground and emphasizing the tactile quality of the decoration.

DIMENSIONS: 9.5"W x 8.25"D x 15"H

ORIGIN: Hungary

PERIOD: 1960s

MATERIALS: Ceramic

CONDITION: Great vintage condition with minor glaze imperfections inherent to the firing process.
