Antique Moroccan Hand-Carved Accent Chair with Bone Inlay - 3 Available

$3,900.00

A Moroccan hand-carved Moorish accent chair from the early 1900s, where carving, inlay, and textile converge within a tightly resolved corner form.

The frame is built in warm-toned wood, carved in dense, rhythmic patterns drawn from Moorish architectural language—interlacing arches, geometric perforations, and repeating motifs that trace the geometry of arches and latticework across every visible surface. The backrest is composed as a screened composition rather than a solid plane, allowing light and shadow to pass through the pierced carving and giving the structure a sense of visual permeability.

Bone inlay runs along the edges of the carved detailing, catching light in fine, deliberate intervals. Decorative nailhead tacks trace the perimeter of the upholstery, introducing a measured metallic cadence that binds the soft and structural elements together.

Raised on turned supports with small dark feet, the seat is upholstered in a mustard-toned needlecord fabric, its fine ribbed texture introducing a linear softness against the complexity of the carved frame. The color sits in a warm, grounded register—sun-worn and earthy—softening the density of the wood and giving the chair a more domestic, lived presence.

Sold and priced individually.
