French Brutalist Wrought-Iron + Acid-Etched Glass Side Table, 1960s

$4,000.00

A French side table from the 1960s, handcrafted in wrought iron and sourced in Paris.

Its silhouette is what draws you in first—a sculptural base of twisted, hand-worked iron that feels both delicate and strong. The lines curve and taper with an almost calligraphic quality, giving the piece movement despite its compact scale.

Above, a square acid-etched glass top appears to float, lightly resting within the frame. The softened finish of the glass contrasts beautifully with the darker iron below, creating a balance between weight and airiness.

There is an honesty to the construction here. The hammered texture of the iron catches light unevenly, revealing the hand of the maker in every curve and irregularity. Beside a chair, between two seats, or tucked into a corner, it brings shape and character without asking too much of the room.
