French Forged Iron Coffee Table with Tassel Detail + Green Marble Top, 1950s
A 1950s French coffee table that balances delicacy and structure in equal measure.
The hand-forged iron base is shaped with scrolls and soft arches, giving the piece an airy, almost architectural quality despite the strength of the material. At the center, a small hanging iron tassel adds an unexpected detail—playful, but still refined.
Above, a custom-fabricated green marble top brings weight and contrast. The stone’s polished surface reveals soft natural veining, with tonal variation that adds movement and depth.
