An Italian table lamp by Banci Firenze, sourced from a private Florentine estate connected to the Banci family, dating back to the late 20th century.
The hammered gilt metal frame rises in a series of symmetrical scrolls, introducing movement and rhythm within an otherwise disciplined silhouette. Its surface catches light unevenly, emphasizing the hand-worked texture and giving the gilding a softened, almost aged luminosity.
The black marble base anchors the composition with weight and contrast. Veined with swirls of ivory and caramel, the stone introduces an organic depth beneath the precision of the metalwork, grounding the lamp both visually and materially. Above, the tailored black shade sharpens the form further, creating a stark dialogue between shadow and gilded surface.
